With Hearts of Gratitude – A Message from the Family and Friends of Barbara Johnson Tucker
On behalf of our family and her many cherished friends, we extend our heartfelt “Thanks” to each of you who has surrounded us with love, prayers, and support as we honor the life of our beloved Barbara Ann Johnson Tucker. Your kindness through prayers, comforting words, visits, calls, and shared memories has been a true reflection of God’s love. Barbara lived a life devoted to faith, family, and music, and it has been a blessing to see how deeply her life and voice touched so many.
From singing with her family to a lifelong dedication to glorifying God, Barbara’s life was a testimony of faith and purpose. She always sought to point others to Christ, and your tributes remind us how far her light has reached.
We extend special thanks to her bonus son, Keith Eason, and dear friend Dr. Jacqueline Chambers for their unwavering support and for helping create such a beautiful celebration of Barbara’s life. We are also grateful to the musicians and singers who generously dedicated their time and gifts.
We sincerely thank Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor D. Z. Cofield, and Rev. Ronald Bell for their hospitality in welcoming us for her homegoing service, as well as Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and Rev. Harvey Clemons for their support and words of comfort. Our appreciation also goes to Ms. Etta’s Catering for providing the repast, and to Troy B. Smith and Troy B. Smith Funeral Services for their exceptional care and service.
As Romans 12:15 teaches us to “mourn with those who mourn,” thank you for mourning with us and for celebrating her extraordinary legacy of worship, service, and love. We are comforted by Psalm 34:18, knowing the Lord is close to
the brokenhearted.
Thank you for your prayers, your love, and for honoring her memory through your support of the Barbara Johnson Tucker Foundation.
